Where the Lotus Blooms is a tragic story that revolves around a cursed, rebellious, young American woman, Cynthia Jacobs, who was sent off by her mother to live with her aunt in Cambodia. Her aunt runs an orphanage in Cambodia and agrees to take Cynthia in under her wings in hopes of helping her turn her life around. What began as an exciting new learning experience for Cynthia soon turns into a horrifying ordeal as her curse soon starts to affect those around her. In the land of bittersweet memories, Cynthia shares her story with a young nurse and relives her harrowing struggles and how she found the strength to survive when tragedy takes the lives of everyone around her.
