Looks at the Cambodian killing fields of the late seventies following the story of a woman living in Paris with her two children who is summoned back to a supposedly 'liberated' Kampuchea by her husband, a Khmer Rouge official. On arriving there, she is immediately taken into custody and separated from her children. It turns out that her husband has been killed and the hardships have only just begun.
