2018 is another anticipating year for the highly acclaimed movie, First They Killed My Father. Co-directed by Angelina Jolie and Rithy Panh, the film tells the story through the eye of a child under the deadly regime of Khmer Rouge, based on the memoir of human-right activist and author, Luong Ung. This film was entirely shot in the Kingdom of Cambodia with the support of Cambodia Film Commission (CFC).

First They Killed My Father has received the “Freedom of Expression Award” from the National Board of Review and Best Foreign Film at the Hollywood Film Awards. So far, this movie has been nominated at the 75thGolden Globe Award, the upcoming Critics’ Choice Movie Awards for the category of best foreign film language and best foreign film for the 2018 Satellite Awards.
