"Recaptured" is a series of 10 short documentaries taking you to 10 very different places throughout Cambodia. This film is a step towards what is more and more commonly referred to as a "new Cambodian memory culture" - a conscious act of remembering the past in order to preserve the memory for future generations. Among the locations featuring this series are the Phnom Sampov caves in Battambang, the secret Khmer Rouge military airbase in Kampong Chnang, the mast retreat of the Khmer Rouge in Anlong Veng enar the Thai border and the "1st Dam" in Kampong Thom.
