Funan, the new animated movie directed by Denis Do took the grand award, Cristal for Feature Film at the awarding ceremony of this year Annecy International Animated Film Festival on Saturday, 16 June 2018.
Voiced by Oscar nominee Berenice Bejo and Louis Garrel, the hand-drawn film depicts a true story of a family under the deadly Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia. The movie is co-produced by Belgium production Lunanime, studio in Cambodia ithinakasia, Les Films d’Ici, Bac Films and WebSpider Productions.
