Mesa, a teenage girl living in Phnom Penh, wonders why her family members always avoid talking about what happened to them during the Khmer Rouge. They seem to just want to forget about it and to move on. But Mesa wants to seek the truth. PIECES OF GLASS focuses on the rebuilding of a family in post-conflict and on the necessity of telling the stories from the past. The film encourages older people to share their experience with the young generation so they can prevent such situations from happening again.
