Set in a radio station, the action spilling into the surrounding Phnom Penh, the 50-episode social drama "AirWaves" blends humour, love, action and pathos. Its central theme, in addition to tackling a range of general social problems, is to encourage harmonious and peaceful relations between the majority and the minority of communities of Khmers and Chams. In particular, it aims to discourage the radicalisation of young Muslims who may be tempted by international recruiters.
