April 1975, the brutal Khmer Rouge Regime overtook Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. It was the beginning of the Year Zero and the start of a bloody ideology lead by Pol Pot. During those dark times, a man who miraculously escaped the first waves of killings is trying to survive in a work camp. Thanks to his herbalist knowledge, he saved several lives within the prison. His skills granted him a special status with the Rouge. But his complicity with a young man will bring chaos and threaten the life of his beloved family. Therefore, he will have no other option to face a heartbreaking choice for his own survival.
