Puthith, a young writer, decides to pay tribute to his deceased mother by publishing a book based on her personal diary, in which she reveals that during the Khmer Rouge period, she was forced to marry a man she did not love. But Puthith’s sister Socheata doesn’t approve of this initiative, arguing it will harm the memory and even the dignity of their mother. Before the launch of the book, Socheata steals the original diary and threatens to burn it. With the book in her hands for the first time, she will finally read it.
