World Premieres of 2 Cambodian Films at the 23rd Busan International Film Festival

 

Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia held annually in Haeundae-gu, Busan since 1996. The 23rd Edition of BIFF will be taking place from 4 to 13 October 2018 with the screening of 323 films from 79 countries all around the world. There will be a total number of 115 world premieres (85 feature films and 30 short films). Cambodia will be making an impressive presence at this year BIFF with the world premier of 2 movies (one short film and one feature film).

 

1. A Million Years, short film by Danech San, World Premiere in Wide Angle Competition Section

Synopsis: A young woman relaxes at a riverfront restaurant. She recounts stories of her past experiences, finding enchantment in the flows of the river and the trees on the mountains nearby.

2. The Prey, feature film by Jimmy Henderson, World Premiere in Midnight Passion Section

Synopsis: After years of tracking down international criminals, a trip to a remote jungle prison will force Chinese cop Xin to become human prey to fight for his freedom and to save his own life.
