Founded in 1987, Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) has become an iconic event in the Singapore arts calendar, known for its dynamic programming and strong focus on groundbreaking Asian cinema for Singapore and the region. The 28th SGIFF will take place at the end of 2017. They are looking forward to celebrating the stories of Asia and the world as told through the art of cinema.

The Festival is currently seeking entries for short films from the region of Southeast Asia in particular Cambodia. The call for entries are now open.


ELIGIBILITY

- Short film submission should be 30 mins and below.

- Short film submissions must be from Southeast Asia.

- It should be directed by a filmmaker of Southeast Asian nationality or origin.

- Films must not have been broadcasted on TV, made available on the Internet or screened publicly in Singapore in any way prior to the Festival.

- Films must at least be a Singapore premiere.

- Film must have been completed on earlier than 1 January 2016e.

 

SUBMISSION FEE

Regular phase submission: The Festival does not charge entry fees for film submissions made before 8 August 2017.

Late phase submission: The Festival will charge a submission fee of USD$25 for films submitted in the final two weeks (8 August – 21 August 2017) of submission


DEADLINE

Submissions should reach us no later than Monday, 21 August 2017, 6.00pm (GMT+8).

Any submission received after the deadline will not be accepted.
